Eligibility Checklist
Am IÂ Eligibility for an OARS Foundation Grant
Type of treatments/procedures covered
OARS funds a range of procedures including (but not limited to) egg and sperm donation, egg freezing, in vitro fertilization, embryo donation, and gestational surrogacy
Failure to conceive naturally
OARS Foundation covers failure to conceive via unprotected intercourse for around 12 months before an infertility evaluation is undertaken (unless medical history, age, or physical findings dictate earlier evaluation and treatment.)
Overall health
All applicants must demonstrate overall good physical and mental health and have no medical conditions that would pose a serious risk to themselves or, in the case of females, the child they would carry (e.g. active acute infections.)
Living arrangements
All applicants must maintain adequate living arrangements (must lease or own a residence.)
Means for child support
All applicants must possess the means to offer continued child support (at least one partner must maintain employment.)
Health Insurance
All applicants must have basic health insurance for mother and baby with sufficient prenatal coverage.

Applicants may apply a total of 2 times.
Your fertility timeline
OARS Foundation does not reimburse for procedures, and our collaborating fertility center must be used for all IVF treatments.
Readiness to begin treatment
Recipients must begin treatment within three months of receiving a grant.
Receiving financial aid from other charities
We do not grant awards to those already receiving financial help from other charities. Note that this does NOT include discounts from fertility clinics and bank loans.
